art, and Native American culture, with a special study interest in painting the women of the West. The artist is from
the Flathead Valley of Western Montana and now lives in Post Falls, Idaho.
The creative act
of painting is a double mirror. The artist conjures an object from their most profound feelings. Once free of
the artist, the object takes on its own being. The creative act is thus a positive act of sharing. It is a positive
affirmation or our existence. I paint because my soul tells me to.
I research as much as I can and with
that information I begin my work never relinquishing my ideas or my own personal approach to the subject matter. My
final creation of an art work is my personal way of sharing and making a lasting contribution to the viewer.
